Which integrations are available for Slide?

Slide has an ever-growing list of possible integrations. Here we give you an overview of the currently available integrations.

Athom Homey

Athom's Homey is one of our favorite Smart Home hubs. Homey connects (almost) all of your devices at home. Use your own creativity and reinvent your house. Homey's power is in the Flows that you create. Flows allow you to decide how your devices work together. Automatically close the curtains when you turn on the light in the evening, or put your smart curtains to 70% when the sun is shining and it's warming than 25°C. The possibilities are endless. Homey works with several wireless protocols, such as Zigbee and Z-wave. With this powerful combination, you can connect your automatic curtains to nearly anything!

Google Assistant

The Google Assistant integration allows you to control your smart curtains with your voice. A simple "Hey Google, open the curtains" is enough to automatically open your curtains. If you have a Google Home, or a different smart speaker with Google Assistant compatibility like Sonos One, you don't even need a mobile phone anymore. Also, Google has routine options that let you control different devices simultaneously. The perfect movie night is now within vocal range: "Hey Google, I'm going to watch TV". The lights are dimmed, the curtains close and the TV is turned on.. All YOU have to do is sit and watch.

FIBARO Home Center 3 and FIBARO Home Center 3 Lite

Home Center 3 is one of the most advanced smart home management units in the world. It's a modern and reliable device that allows you to control all of the smart home features in an easy way - a simple press of a button, a gesture, or a word makes your smart home alive.

FIBARO Home Center 2

(Manually through Github)

We're very happy with our community of developers. Gabor, one of the members of the community has developed a FIBARO Home Center 2 integration. It's a smart home station to which you can connect several smart devices. It allows everything to work by itself, whether you're at home, at the office, or using a mobile phone. This integration requires some coding and is more suited for tech-savvy users.

Domoticz

Domoticz is one of the most popular open-source smart home automation systems. As the name suggests, it's developed to combine your domotics products. Domoticz connects different devices, such as lights, switches, but also sensors for temperature, rain, and wind. You take complete control of your house. Thanks to our smart integration between Slide and Domoticz, now you can also connect your motorized curtains to other domotics systems. You can use it with different systems, such as Raspberry, Windows, Linux, and macOS. Domoticz does require some technical knowledge but offers the user the possibility to personalize to a very high level.

IFTTT

IFTTT, which stands for "If This Then That" is an integration that allows you to connect your Slide to a wide variety of different smart home devices.

Connect your curtains to a remote control, weather forecast, lights, or even your location. The possibilities are endless.

You can find the IFTTT app in the Apple Store or the Android Play Store

Home Assistant

In recent years, Home Assistant (or HassIO) has grown out to be one of the most used DIY solutions for automating domotics. Home Assistant has more than 1600 available integrations and is the perfect bridge for integrations that Slide doesn't offer directly. It's possible to connect your electric curtains to Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, IFTTT, Philips HUE or Apple HomeKit Controller. The only thing you need is a Raspberry Pi. Home Assistant is very popular among tech-savvy users. However, thanks to the development of Lovelace UI en HassIO, it's gaining popularity among a wider audience.

Homebridge

We receive many questions about an Apple HomeKit integration. However, this integration requires a little more development and is therefore still on our wishlist. Fortunately, we have a dedicated community of developers that always thinks in terms of solutions. Now, there are Homebridge integrations available, both for the local and open API of Slide. Homebridge is an alternative way to control products within HomeKit, that don't have a native integration yet. Homebridge does require some technical knowledge. However, if this is not an objection, it's a great way to control your automatic curtains of Slide and integrate into your smart home.
